[us_separator size=”custom” height=”32px”]

The coupling ability is the ability to connect movements and directions efficiently and to allow parts of the body to work together in fluid movements. The coupling ability to connect is closely related to the kinetic differentiation capacity and agility.

For the Basic Movement Skills, this means that throwing, throwing and catching are elementary in order to be able to develop shooting and kicking (in the motor development the arms go before the legs). Ultimately, it is about being able to pass or shoot from a dribble in basketball.

In basketball the coupling ability can be seen in complex forms such as: dribbling, running, dodging, jumping, looking and combining.

It is important that the linking of movements is offered in gamelike situations and practice forms from a young age. Both boys and girls are sensitive to this accelerated development at 6, 7 and 8 years of age.

Sensitive period: 6.7 and 8 years for boys and girls!
