Omschrijving

The push pass is a great way to give a pass out of the reach of a defender. The push pass often lacks strength and precision and is often to difficult for young children.

Technique

  • Player holds the ball with two hands
  • Feet are next to each other
  • Player puts the left foot forward
  • The ball is “pushed” along the left hand towards the other player

Points of attention

  • Try to teach from the triple threat position
  • Make the step forward
  • The left hand remains on the ball to ensure stability
  • Slide the ball past the other hand and try to give “backspin” to the ball.
