Endurance

Endurance (stamina) means being able to persevere with an action or task (both physically and mentally) over a prolonged period of time. For children it is not necessary to provide additional training for the aerobic system. Playing outside, playing games and matches are all fun and will develop this system sufficiently.

The sensitive period is for girls between 10-15 years and for boys between 12-17 years.

Endurance and the ability to train this are strongly determined by genetic predisposition, just like strength. The start of the PHV is seen by both boys and girls as the most sensitive period for the progressive training of aerobic capacity. The aerobic power can be built up step by step as the growth progresses.
