Outlet

The outlet pass is the pass that the rebounding player gives to the player by the side-line and often indicates the start of a fast break.

The outlet pass is best given in a smooth motion immediately after the rebound usually through a two-handed overhead pass.      A side-line player shouts “OUTLET” so the rebunding player knows where he or she can quickly pass to.
