V-cut

Omschrijving
The in-out movement (V-cut) is used, from the perimeter (area around the three-point line) in the direction of the basket, against a defender, who makes a direct pass impossible. The attacker makes a few steps towards the basket. The defender must now follow with this player to defend. Then the attacker suddenly cuts back outwards, creating a distance between him and the defender. Now the attacker is open to receive the ball.
The attacker must also ensure that he gets the ball at the place where he can be dangerous, so not too far out: and in a suitable way for him.
shot distance (“shooting range”). Because of the sharp angle in the change of direction, this movement is also called the V-movement (cut)
